Rebecca Beachy

Rebecca Beachy is a Chicago-based artist, writer, and educator whose practice explores the intersections of ecology, memory, and decay. Often working with salvaged, organic, and industrial materials, her installations address the often overlooked relationships between human systems and the natural world.

Beachy's works function as quiet meditations on transformation. Drawing attention to combustion, consumption, and time, she emphasizes not just material history, but also the labor and energy embedded in all things. Her pieces highlight our estrangement from — and entanglement with — the environmental consequences of industrial life.
