Stanley Cups suddenly take over our lives, but why?
One day the $45 cups took over social media and began to cause a ruckus at Target. Stanley is a relativley long standing company, but suddenly Stanley became the "standard" for waterbottles. There have even been accounts of young children bullying eachother over these cups. I think that this is just another example of consumer culture getting out of hand and the influence that social media is terrifying. Although we likely can't pinpoint the exact reason that people have been fighting for these cups, we can definetly conclud that social media has been fanning the flames. Ironcially, these cups started trending even more after a lot of the cups started testing positive for lead.
