Learn Their Stories

Aloy was born in 3021, raised as an outcast, and trains as a warrior in order to win a ritual competition to discover her mother's identity. After narrowly evading an assassination attempt, she embarks on a journey to stop a cult that worships an artificial intelligence bent on the world's destruction, while also hunting machines that have grown hostile to humans.

Katniss and her family come from District 12, a coal-mining district that is the poorest, least populated, and smallest district in the dystopian nation of Panem, ruled by the Capitol. Katniss competes in the Hunger Games after she is allowed to volunteer in place of her little sister. Katniss then forms an alliance with her fellow District 12 tribute, Peeta, and grows close to him. The two eventually make it to the finale of the games, where they become the victors after defying the Capitol's attempt to force one to kill the other. Katniss becomes a galvanizing symbol of rebellion against the oppressive Capitol.

Kate grew up as a child of wealth in Manhattan. Unfortunately, that wealth couldn't protect her from being attacked in Central Park. To help overcome the trauma of that incident, she began training in martial arts, fencing and archery. This training helped restore her self-confidence and eventually inspired her to take up the superhero lifestyle. Kate saw her opportunity after a chance run-in with the fledgling Young Avengers. She donned a costume inspired by both Hawkeye and Mockingbird's uniforms and forced her way into the team's ranks. It wasn't long before she proved herself more than worthy to carry the name Hawkeye.
