Mateo Ash Badilla (b. Los Angeles 1998) is an interdisciplinary artist working with digital 3D rendering, recycled objects, and sculptures. Their works survey objects and their paired associations with memories or anticipated possibilities.. https://ashbartwork.wixsite.com/mateo

Mateo is a first generation Mexican-American multidisciplinary artist from Los Angeles. They initially studied psychology at the University of California Irvine. After completing that program in 2020, they pivoted into art during the covid lockdown and moved to Chicago in 2022 to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and completed that program in 2024. They’ve shown works and performances at Comfort Station, No Nation, Chicago Art Department, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
