"In my studio practice, I consider the possibilities of working critically and poetically with technology, positioning artistic processes as forms of practice for social change. My research-based practice draws from media studies, olfactory art, and plant studies to consider positions of receptivity and marginality as valid and active political and communicative positions. Multi-sensory video installations, radio and scent transmissions, and collaborative socially-engaged art projects begin as experiments to destabilize the primacy of the human sensorium, and quietly open a number of modes of perception beyond the clear distinctions of human senses. My experiments in digital media open onto considerations of media more broadly, as I investigate the nature of media and communication. In recent work, I consider the airspaces as a multisensory and mutispecies commons."
