Greg approaches his work with a strong analytical and creative impulse and is noted for projects that are uniquely tailored to the specific needs of a client and context. Prior to forming SLH, Greg gained experience in the realms of both urban design and historic preservation. A tenure in the office of a developer provided a valuable opportunity to see the construction process from a different perspective. In addition to being licensed in Illinois and Wisconsin, Greg is a LEED Ac- credited Professional. He is a former chair of the Chicago chapter of the Custom Residential Architects Network of the American Institute of Architects and remains on its steering committee. He also sits on the board of directors of a Mies van der Rohe designed residential community, advising on restoration, and sustainability concerns.
