Artist Statement

Corbin’s experience as an architect can plainly be described as a ‘Mixture.’ Works built and unbuilt span several scales: essays, furniture, exhibits, gardens, houses, theaters, dormitories, office towers, and now, astonishingly, an airport. None of these projects he has developed alone. Working with others - surrounded by a chorus of creative voices - is where he has always preferred to be. This experience has reaffirmed his core belief: that architecture is about optimism. If architecture is a cultural product, it has the potential to advance and challenge that culture, solve problems, improve the environment, unify communities, and inspire the public.
